Donald (Donnie) Allen Pippin, 81, left this earthly life for his Heavenly Home on January 30, 2025.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Don H. Pippin, and Winifred Aileen (Vollmar) Eagleburger, his beloved daughter Lori Beth Pippin and his sister Leta Mitchell.
Donnie leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Annie, and his son, Bryan Pippin. He also leaves behind a whole host of other family members, including siblings, Kitty, Lendell, and Debbie. Also many friends, fishing buddies, gambling buddies, and just buddies in general. Donnie never met a stranger in his life.
“Donnie was born September 3, 1943 in Springfield, MO. He graduated from Parkview High
School. He served in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969. Upon arriving back in the States, he joined
the Springfield, MO Police Department in July of 1969. During that time, he also attended and
graduated from Drury College in Springfield, and he retired from the Springfield PD in January
of 1987, having served his last 10 years as a Homicide Detective.
Donnie’s retirement dream was always to live on Table Rock Lake, a dream which we made reality for the past 25 years. He fished all he could, and made the most out of his life after retirement.
As many of you know, Donnie also had a heart for animals, especially dogs and cats. All of our
pets were rescues, and it would please him to know that in lieu of any flowers or other memorials, if you feel so led, please make a donation in his honor to your local pet rescue.
My love, may you have blue skies, calm waters, and I’ll see you again with the Lord one day.”
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
