Donald Eugene Gifford 87, Springfield, MO. passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, in Mercy Hospital. Donald was born in Springfield, MO. on February 2, 1935, to Pete and Ruth (Cunningham) Gifford.  Donald was a member of Hillside Baptist Church and he was a  retired supervisor for The General Electric Company.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents: Pete and Ruth Gifford, his first wife, Sarah C. Gifford,  a son, Donald Lee Gifford, and a sister, Janet Settles. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Gifford, two daughters: Sandy Stokes and her husband, Bill, and Kathy Curbow and her husband, Dwayne, and a daughter -in-law: Jill Gifford, his step-son: Don Misemer and his wife Summar, two step-grandchildren: Garrett and Kelly,  six grandchildren: Lee, Jason, and Joseph Curbow, B.J. Stokes, Carrie Schmutz, and Donald E. Gifford II. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and a special nephew, Michael Wright.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Hillside Baptist Church: 8366 MO-266, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial Donations are suggested to the Hillside Baptist Church Building Fund.
