Donald Lee Ragland, age 89, of Morrisville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday April 6, 2024, in his home. Donald Lee Ragland, age 89, of Morrisville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday April 6, 2024, in his home. Don was born to Lee Warren and Beatrice (Clark) Ragland on August 12, 1934, in Laclede County, Missouri. Don was raised in this area and graduated from High School. Don was united in marriage to Bonnie Mae (Moore) Ragland, on June 18, 1952, in Kansas City, MO.
Don was a self-employed carpenter for several years, building beautiful homes all over Springfield. When not working, he had many interests including hunting deer, turkey, elk, and fishing. Don will be particularly remembered for his love of stock car racing.
Don was preceded in death by, his parents, Lee Warren and Beatrice Ragland, his wife, Bonnie Ragland, his daughter, Debbie Weber, his son: William (Donnie) Ragland ,his brother, Billy Ragland, and sister-in-laws, Debbie Ragland and Marlene Ragland.
He is survived by his two daughters: Donna Lynn Spradling, and her husband, Gary; Lea Ann McCrimmon and her husband, Jack; daughter-in-law Misty Ragland; brother, Jim Ragland; four granddaughters, Lisa Miller, and her husband, Randy, Melissa Carter, and her husband, Mike, Morghann Mae McCrimmon, and Emily Dawn Ragland; two grandsons, Anthony Jason Poole and Robert Jordan McCrimmon, III; four great-granddaughters Taylor Clark; Paige Miller, Vella Rome McCrimmon, and Caitlin Maxwell and husband Cody; and five great-grandsons Cyrus Anthony Poole, Bubba Howe and wife Avery, Michael ,Keaton and Brantley Carter; and six great great-grandchildren , Gracie Clark, Alli Clark, Fletcher Maxwell, Riley Maxwell Cayden and Gavin Green, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of close friends.
A celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with visitation from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. before services also in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Don’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
