Donna Sue (Bagley) Jordan, 82, Springfield, Missouri, went to be with the Lord after a short illness. She was born in the family home in rural Bois D’Arc, MO, on November 9, 1939, to Tom E. and Charlotte Marie (Suckow) Bagley. She graduated from Bois D’Arc High School in 1957 and attended Draughon Business College and was employed by Campbell 66 before marrying her husband, Herschel Jordan, at Bois D’Arc United Methodist Church in 1959 and becoming a lifelong homemaker. She last attended Second Baptist Church, and Sac River Cowboy Church, and was a lifelong servant of God in many ministries. Donna was a self-taught artist best known for her China painting, acrylic paintings, and occasional stained glass works. Her artistic ability was also expressed in sewing custom clothing, quilts for all the family members, and numerous crafts throughout the years. She shared her love of art in two businesses, Donna’s Delightful Gifts in Springfield, MO, and Plain and Fancy in Ash Grove, MO, as well as at various craft shows throughout the region and neighboring states. She was an avid gardener of beautiful roses and flowers, as well as many fruits and vegetables. She had a beautiful alto voice that she shared in various local and church settings, especially in her young adult life. A notable memory was singing a solo for the Ozark Jubilee TV show.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and son, Tommy Mack Jordan. She is survived by Herschel Jordan, her husband of 63 years; siblings Cecil (Shirley) Bagley and Janet Jenkins; daughters Angela (Chad) Deterding and Julie Jordan; grandchildren Tyler, Mason, Kyle and Jake Deterding, Andrew (Katelyn) Jordan, Kaden Jordan, London Munsey; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The visitation will be held on April 9, 2022, 1:00-2:30 pm, at Sac River Cowboy Church Event Center, 6448 W. State Highway EE, Springfield, MO 65802, with the service following at 2:30 pm. The graveside will follow the service at Clear Creek Cemetery.
