Donnie Lee Yarberry, age 74, of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, in his home. He was born March 27, 1940, in Pleasant Hope, MO, to John and Hazel (Etheridge) Yarberry. He was united in marriage September 28, 1984, to Mary Clark Cross. He was a member of the Rock Prairie Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an aunt Jewell Etheridge.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Mary Yarberry of the home; a daughter Shannon Sawyer and husband Shelvin of Bolivar, MO; a step-daughter Missy Cross of Fair Play, MO; two step-sons: Charles Cross and wife Melissa of Humansville, MO, and Scott Cross of Pleasant Hope, MO; two grandchildren: Cody Marshall of Springfield, MO, and Lyndsi Marshall of Bolivar, MO; one great grandchild on the way; three step grandchildren: Aaron Cross and wife Kelsey of Humansville, MO, Kayla Cross of Humansville, MO, and Shayla Cross of Overland Park, KS; one step great granddaughter Kylee Cross of Humansville and one on the way (Kenlee Cross); as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 16, 2014, at Pitts Chapel with Bro. Donnie Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Prairie Cemetery Pleasant Hope, MO. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
