Dorothy Coleman, 93, of Springfield, left this life to meet our Lord, Savior and Creator on March 21, 2013. Dorothy was born to Tina and Tim Huffman on January 12, 1920 in Fortesque , Missouri , the youngest of two children. Dorothy graduated from Fortesque High School, and went on to attend the Arthur Murray Dance School in New York City, where she had the privilege to learn a dance step from Arthur Murray, himself. Dorothy spent most of her life working as a waitress and homemaker. Dorothy married George Coleman on July 5, 1957. Dorothy was a devote Methodist. Dorothy loved to dance, she started dancing as a young child as her dad was a square dancing caller, she would tap dance in between sessions. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George Earl Coleman; her sister, Wilma Wright; and her parents, Tim and Tina Huffman. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Coleman of the home and two granddogs Sasha and Haley of the home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
