Dorothy May “Dot” Goodman, age 82 of Springfield passed away on May 8, 2017 at CMH Hospital, Bolivar, MO. She was born September 15, 1934 to James Earl and Loral Barton, the second of ten children. She joined in marriage with Henry Goodman, June 14, 1952. To this union was born three daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Connie Foiles, two great grandchildren Hanna and Jennifer Carter, two brothers, William and Daniel Barton, and 2 sisters, Betty Goodman and Mary Millard
Survivors include her daughters, April Goodman and Doris (Charles) Obradovich, four grandchildren Amber (Michael) Goodman, Lindsey Obradovich, Courtney (Tom) Lauderdale and Andrew Obradovich and two great-grandchildren Makala and Lacey Carter. Also surviving are two sisters Margie (Robert) Smith and Joye Howser and three brothers Jerry, Wilber and James Barton Jr as well as many nephews and nieces.
Dorothy was a homemaker during her life and enjoyed gardening, garage sales, crocheting and entering contests. She had a great love of animals, especially dogs. She leaves behind two “babies” Angel and Star. She was always willing to help whenever needed, no matter what the request. Dorothy will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to have shared in her life.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Obradovich, Michael Carter, Jeff Barton, John Barton, Wendell Lovewell, Roger Barton; with honorary pallbearers Jerry Barton, Wilbur Barton, James Earl Barton Jr, Robert Smith and Charles Obradovich. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 15, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial following at Greenlawn Cemetery.
