Dottie Jean (Stigall) Clements, 92, of Springfield, passed away June 28, 2022, at Mercy Hospital. Dottie was born July 22, 1929, at her grandparents’ house near Hartville, MO. At age 4 she lost her mother and was raised by her grandparents. She grew up without electricity and plumbing, and water was carried from a creek. She graduated Hartville high school in 1947 and moved to Springfield to attend business school. Later that year she and Paul Clements were married and later had 2 children. She worked for Citizens’ Bank, and later Commerce Bank.

She was preceded in death by her husband (2012), a son Tom, (2000) and a son-in-law Cap Foster (2022). Survivors include a daughter, Cam Foster, 2 grandchildren, granddaughter Corie (Matt) Summers, and their children Madeline, Camryn, and Caitlin, and grandson John (Kimmie) Ikenroth, and their children Alex, Lola, Seven, and Sam. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends, who will miss her.

A visitation for Dottie will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we suggest making a donation to your favorite charity, or as she liked to do, make cookies for someone.
