Duane Edward Horton, 49, Republic, MO., passed away on January 6, 2018. He was born on December 21, 1968 in Somerville, NJ. Duane went to Central Christian College of the Bible. He was also in the Missouri Army National Guard. Duane was an Assistant Manager/ Wal-Mart. Duane married Holly (Cramer) on November 4, 2011 in Camdenton, MO. Duane was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, (3)National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism-Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism-Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal Bronze Hourglass w/ M Device, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Missouri National Guard Commendation Ribbon, (2)Missouri National Guard Long Service Ribbons, Missouri Afghanistan Campaign Ribbon, Missouri State Emergency Duty Ribbons, Missouri National Guard Active Duty and Basic Training Ribbon.
Duane was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Horton. He is survived by his wife Holly, children, Wyatt Alexander Cramer, Caleb Andrew Horton also his mother at home. Brothers, Mike, Stanley and Kevin Horton, sisters Cindy Dunham, Karen Williams, mother-in-law Linda Cramer as well as large extended family.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South from 6 to 8 pm. Services will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm. with full military honors.
