E. Clifford White 87, Springfield, passed away August 12, 2014 at Christian Health Care in Nixa following a long illness. Clifford was born November 6, 1926 in Sparta, Mo. to Clara Rebecca Kissee and Ervin Stephen White. At the age of 12 his family moved to a farm east of Springfield where he lived and farmed for over 75 years. Clifford had a passion for farming and cattle. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. On October 14, 1948 he married the love of his life Virginia Lee Faught. To this union was born six children. Clifford was a long time member of the High Street Baptist Church.His survivors include his wife, Virginia, of Springfield, sons; Terry White and wife Janet of Strafford, Donnie White of Springfield, daughters; Kay Smith and husband Duane of Fair Grove; LaTriesa Nelson of Springfield, and Virginia Sue Choate and husband Orville of Nixa. Clifford has 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, a brother; Richard White, and wife Betty, Grove, OK. one sister; Rosemary Gilbert, and husband Dan, Forsyth, MO. Special Family Friends: ReGenia West, Fordland and her family, numerous loving nieces, numerous nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert Clifford White, grandson Robert Clifford White Jr., son-in-law Tony Nelson, brother Joe White, and sister Wynelle Anderson. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Hopedale Baptist Church, Ozark, MO. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will be in Hopedale Cemetery.
