Erma Elsie Ogren, 88, of Springfield passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021.
Erma loved to sew, cross-stitch, make jewelry, and other crafts. Erma enjoyed quilting with the ladies from Messiah Lutheran Church and making baby layettes for Newborns in Need.
Erma had a pair of earrings to match every outfit. She enjoyed visiting with people, had a hearty laugh, and loved her family and friends. Erma looked forward to visits from her nephew Larry and their getaways to the casino, even allowing Larry to drive occasionally.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Gertrude Mealman, her spouse, John “Woody” Ogren, siblings Albert Mealman, Earl Mealman, Charles Mealman, Nettie Mealman, Lola Retka, Betty Fuller, and Edna Trabant. She is survived by her sister, Jane Williams, 25+ Nieces and Nephews, and many special friends she considered family.
A graveside service is planned for Thursday, August 12th at 9:00 a.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
