It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward “Danny” Collins, who left this world on July 7, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on March 29, 1940, in Evansville, Indiana, Edward was a man of deep faith and unwavering devotion, serving as a minister throughout his life and dedicating himself to the service of God and his community.

Danny was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force in 1958. He married the love of his life, Sharon McAdoo, in 1965, and together they built a loving family. Edward was a cherished father to his 3 sons, Jeff, Joel and Daniel Collins, who will carry on his legacy of compassion and commitment to family values.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Danny enjoyed hunting and hiking, often finding solace in nature. He was also passionate about sports, bringing joy and encouragement to those around him with his enthusiasm. Danny was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Elsie Collins

Danny was a devoted Christian whose faith was his guiding light. His family was of utmost importance to him, and he dedicated his life to nurturing and supporting them.

Danny’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at Berean Baptist Church on July 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Prior to the service, there will be opportunities for family and friends to pay their respects during the visitation on July 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

Edward “Danny” Collins will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love for his family, and the profound impact he had on the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and faithfulness that will be cherished forever.
