Edwina Mae (Patterson) Babb went peacefully home on April 12, 2022, after a short illness. Edwina was born to Milford and Irene Patterson on August 7, 1936, in Red Top, Missouri. Edwina was united in marriage to John Wesley Babb on November 26, 1960. They had 2 children from this union, John Edwin and Debra Ann. Edwina spent her younger years enjoying time at the lake with her beloved family. She loved to bowl and spent many nights over the years at the bowling alley. Edwina also loved to golf and took advantage of any time she could get on the golf course. Later in life, Edwina’s favorite past-time quickly became watching the Lady Bears play basketball. She even liked taking bus trips to watch them play on the road. She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years John, both of her parents, and brothers, Bobby, and Charles. She is survived by son John Babb of Republic, her daughter Debbie Grove, and her husband Allen Monett, her grandchildren Stephanie Brower, Tiffany Barker, and Megan Grove, great-grandchildren, Anslie Brower, Karleigh Barker, and Bryar Barker, sister Betty Mayfield and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sonshine Manor and Compassus Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
