In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Ann Cochran
A kind and compassionate soul, Elizabeth Ann Cochran, fondly known as “Ma Ma” to all and Bibby to some, has left a profound impact on everyone with whom she’s crossed paths. Her warm smile and open heart welcomed all, connecting with each person in a deeply meaningful way. Born on September 22, 1956, in Springfield, MO, Elizabeth’s vibrant spirit graced this world until she passed away on July 29, 2024, in Springfield, MO.
Elizabeth was born to Donald “Wayne” and Kathryn Alice (Bull) Moore, and joined two older brothers and a sister before then welcoming a younger brother and twins to complete the Moore family. She graduated from Hillcrest High School. One of her greatest achievements was giving birth and raising her son, Joshua David Murray.
Elizabeth cherished her role as a homemaker, finding joy and fulfillment in caring for her loved ones. Her family meant everything to her. Whether sharing laughter over a cup of sweet tea or finding humor in life’s twists and turns, Elizabeth had an incredible sense of humor that could lighten up even the darkest of days.
As we gather to honor her life, let us remember Elizabeth for the love she shared unconditionally, the laughter she spread tirelessly, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. In celebration of her life, a Memorial Service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on August 10, 2024, at 4:00 pm, where we will come together to pay tribute to a remarkable woman who touched our hearts in so many ways.
She was met in heaven by her husband, Gary Cochran, her father and her brother, Kelly Moore.
Elizabeth is survived by her son and his wife, Joshua and Beth Murray; her mother, Kathryn Moore; two granddaughters and their partners, Morgan Ann Murray and Austin Miller, and Brooklyn Jayde Murray and Evan Keen; four cherished grandchildren, Delilah Faye Miller, Easton Cole Miller, Opal Ryn Miller, and Alister David Miller; five siblings and their spouses, Dewayne Moore, Donnie Moore, Kathy Branson, Darren Moore, and Kevin Moore; numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and countless friends.
In her memory, Elizabeth’s legacy of love, kindness, and humor will live on forever. May we find solace in each other’s company as we celebrate the life of a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend. Elizabeth’s death also brings new life and new beginnings as she was able to give the gift of life through organ donation. Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she will always be with us in spirit, watching over us with that familiar warmth and love she shared so freely.
The family suggests floral tributes be ordered through House of Flowers, 1921 S National Ave, Springfield, MO 65804.
