Elizabeth Ann (Williams) Skidmore, age 69, was born on April 9, 1947 in Springfield, Missouri to Vestal Palmer Williams and Frances Mae (Perryman) Williams. She passed away on February 9, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family from complications of Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Liz graduated from Hillcrest High School, the Class of 1965, then graduated from Baptist Nursing College with a nursing degree. Over a 40 year career in nursing, she had worked for the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, The Osteopathic Hospital, Ferrell Duncan clinic and Smith Glynn clinic.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Liz is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donnie Monroe Skidmore, sisters; Mary Frances German and Christina Faye Dulin, sister-in-law Nona, brother-in-law Denny, former sister-in-law, Sue, children; Renee Lynette (Skidmore) Alvarez and her husband, Dean Alvarez, Leah Donise (Skidmore) Avers and her husband Jeff Avers, Damon Lee Skidmore and his wife Stefanie Skidmore, April Ann (Skidmore) Brown and her husband Jason Brown, Amanda Blaire Skidmore and Nichelle Renee Skidmore, grandchildren; Amber Gray Colon, Chad Clifton Dickens, Chasidy Donise Carpenter, Cody Lane Skidmore, Austin Lee Skidmore, Zane Logan Brown, Natalie Lynn Nolan, Jonathon Michael Avers and Jacob Levi Avers, great-grandchildren; Blaire Danae Skidmore, Brooke Allison Guccione, Ryan Scott Dickens, Tavin Clifton Carpenter, Taci Donise Carpenter and Nolan Lane Elliott and an abundance of nieces , nephews and cousins. No services have been scheduled at this time. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
