Ernie Gene Presley age 76, of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at Cox Medical Center South Springfield, MO.  He was born October 27, 1944, Springfield, MO, to Ather Eugene and Flora Fae (Wallace) Presley.  He graduated high school from Marion C. Early Morrisville, MO, the class of 1962.  He was united in marriage to Mary K. Yarberry May 24, 1963, and to this union four sons were born.

          Ernie was saved at Enon Missionary Baptist Church September 24, 1970 and baptized by Bro. Lee Howard and called to preach the night he was saved.  He was ordained two years later to the full ministry of the gospel.  He is a member of the Campbell Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

          Ernie helped start the Polk County Summer Sports League in the 1970’s.

          He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Jerry and Dan Presley; two brothers in-law: Rick Campbell and Herman Coffey; a sister in-law Judy Presley; and his in-laws Glen and Rosalee Yarberry.

          Ernie is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary; four sons: Randy and wife Deborah, Rick and wife Kim, Tom and wife Barb, and Chris and wife Kortney; grandchildren: Ryan, Drew (Jess), Randy Lee (Breanna), Brandi (Joe), Bradley (Anna), Bailey (Nate), Tommy (Jessica), Hayden (Michelle), Kyle (Meranda), Paige, McKenzie, Logan, and Holden (Danielle); 13 great grandchildren and one (Wallen) due in May; three brothers: Mike, George and wife Lanelda, Herman and wife Melissa; five sisters: Becky Campbell, Nancy McMillen and husband Doug, Leora Painter and husband Rex, Lois Crain and husband Kelly, Sally Jaudes and husband Bob; two sisters in-law: Joyce Presley and Lois Coffey; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.

          Visitation will be held Monday, April 19, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Pitts Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 20, 2021, in the funeral home with Bro.’s Dan Breshears and Dallas Stockdale officiating.  Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery Wishart, MO.  Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
