Farrell A. Goodnight, 94, Springfield, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at The Maples Health Center. She was born, February 16, 1918 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Warner and Mary Slayback. Farrell was a fun loving person who enjoyed life. She and her husband spent 40+ years in a fun filled community at Indian Point on Table Rock lake enjoying times with family and friends. She loved being outdoors, fishing, walking the lake shore feeding the ducks and tending her small garden. She spent many hours sitting on her redwood deck waving at the passers by with a big smile and hello.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack E. Goodnight, her daughter, Marilyn Goodnight Hill; and her granddaughter, Natalie Brook Goodnight.
Farrell is survived by her son, Gordon J. Goodnight; her grandchildren, Erin Martin, Todd Goodnight, Shannan Woolery, Sean Goodnight, Christina Upton, and Ryan Estes; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South with gravesite services to follow at 3:00 pm Monday, April 23, 2012, at Highlandville cemetery.
