Fay Delores Smith, 96, passed away on February 27, at 9:15 p.m. She is preceded by her husband James Tucker Smith.
Fay graduated from Huntington High School in West Virginia and moved to Washington DC, working two years at the Pentagon. She met Jim who was a sergeant in the Army and stationed at the war college and later they were married.
They moved to Springfield, MO in 1961, and Fay worked 20 years at Glendale High School. She was active in her church, teaching Sunday School and Ladies Groups. Currently she is a member of Galloway Baptist Church in Springfield, MO.
Surviving Fay is a son Bradley Smith and wife Robyn of Lenexa, KS; daughter Denise Thomas and husband Jerry of Rogersville, MO; five grandchildren and spouses along with numerous great grand-children.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
