Felix Quashie, age 42, of Willard, Missouri, a God-fearing man who loved his family more than life itself, passed into the eternal arms of his Lord and Savior on January 5, 2023. Felix was born to Ernest and Elizabeth (Prempeh) Quashie, on July 6, 1980, in Kumasi, the capital city of the Ashanti Empire, located in southern Ghana. Felix graduated from the Ghana International School (Accra, Ghana) in 1998 before immigrating to the United States. In 2006, Felix’s life changed forever when he met the love of his life, Tiffany Brooks. Six years later, Felix and Tiffany were united in marriage. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Julius and Ashanti.
From an early age, Felix had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. His love of learning, combined with an unrelenting commitment to higher education, helped him earn three college degrees in mathematics, accounting, and computer science from Missouri State University. Given his strong academic background, charismatic personality, and genuine willingness to help others, Felix was a perfect fit for the technology management team at Bass Pro Shops in Springfield. In his role, Felix patiently provided hands-on support whenever it was needed—and always with his trademark smile. Felix was known to have an infectious and sometimes mischievous smile that was calming and uplifting to all.
When not at work, Felix enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes. Watching soccer and American football were among his favorite activities. Felix loved to grill and was known for methodically preparing each cut of meat with chef-like perfection. He was a connoisseur of great tasting food and enjoyed finding unique places to eat with his family. Felix always made certain to pair great meals with great music. While he loved all genres of music, he was particularly fond of Reggae and Afrobeats. When not listening to Reggae or Afrobeats, Felix had his radio set to 88.3, the Wind. He cherished Christian music and always had a good time singing along with his favorite artists. While Felix enjoyed many pastimes, nothing compared to the unspeakable joy he felt when spending time with Tiffany, Julius, and Ashanti. He took extraordinary pride in being a husband and father. Felix loved to travel, play video games, play board games, and watch movies with his family. He will always be remembered as a shining light who provided his family and friends with unconditional love and unwavering support.
Felix was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Quashie. He is survived by his wife, Tiffany Quashie; children, Julius and Ashanti Quashie; parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Quashie; brother, Frank Quashie; sister, Bridgette Quashie; and a host of extended relatives and close friends.
