Floyd Hall, age 67, of Springfield, Missouri, rode his Harley off into eternity on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, surrounded by those he loved the most. He was born January 29, 1958, in Trenton, Missouri, to Glenda Gahl Stokes and Harry Hall.
Floyd spent his life as a roofer. One of his favorite sayings was, “Who’ll stop the rain.” He owned his own roofing company, Sonshine Roofing, and he also worked for other companies such as Springfield Roofing, Quality Roofing, and Kirberg Roofing, where he made many lifelong friends. He spent 30 years with the love of his life, Gina, before marrying her on the beach in Florida on July 22, 2021.
Floyd lived life to the fullest and was known for his larger-than-life personality. He would help anyone who needed it. Floyd had an infectious laugh and he loved to share his laughter with others. He could always be found spending his weekends camping on the riverbanks of Ho-Humm, driving his jet boat on the Current River, spending any warm day cruising on his Harley, and vacationing on the Florida beaches. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Gina Dawson; daughters, Stacy Grannemann and her husband, Michael, Brittany Johnson and her husband, Aubrey, and Jamie Hall and her spouse, Colin Berlener; grandchildren: Ashton Smith, Marissa Grannemann, Alicia Smith, Finnegan Johnson, and Eleanor Berlener; sister, Yvonne Wright and her husband, Steve; and many nieces and nephews, loving friends, and in-laws. Floyd was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Stokes; father, Harry Hall; sister, Brenda Machutta; sister, Johnna Tower; and best friend, Tommy Slagle.
