Francis Gene Thompson, 44, Springfield, MO. formerly of Wamigo, Kansas, passed away May 11, 2021, in his home. He was born in Wamingo, Kansas, on May 30, 1976, to Francis M. and Bonnie J. (Alexander) Thompson. He attended Flint Hills Christian School, Manhattan, KS. and Manhattan Area Technical College. He was a Volunteer Firefighter, with the Louisville Fire Department and a Reserve Officer for the Wamego City Police Department. He loved ATV adventures – Electronics.
Francis was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Edith Golden-Alexander, his paternal grandfather: Fern Thompson, and paternal grandmother: Gail Thompson. He is survived by his husband: Steven Thompson-Pearce, they were united in marriage on February 3, 2016, in Manhattan, Kansas. His son: Tyler Mather-Thompson, and by his parents: Francis Marion Thompson and Bonnie Jean Thompson-Alexander, and three brothers and two sisters.
No funeral services are planned at this time. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to the Local Humane Society.
