Dr. George Stanley Fry, 90, asleep in Jesus, Thursday, June 28. Beloved husband for 68 years of Jeanette Warner Fry married in Los Angeles, California on June 15, 1950.
He is survived by his wife Jean, of Point Lookout, Missouri; son Steven Fry and wife Janet of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son Paul Fry, and wife Shawn of Ozark, Missouri; son David Fry and wife Phyllis of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and daughter, Sarah Garrison and husband Tim, of Myrtle, Missouri.
Grandchildren include: Lindsay Geier, husband Will and great grandson Owen of Perth, Australia; Stephen Fry and wife Lauren of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Jordan Fry, wife Sarah, and great grandson Warner of Bentonville, Arkansas; Ryan Fry and wife Elizabeth of Garland, Texas; Matthew Fry of Joplin, Missouri; Andrew and Anna Garrison of Myrtle, Missouri and Ashley Garrison of Paragould, Arkansas.
A veteran of World War II in the regular army with the 24th Infantry Division in the occupation army in Japan, Stanley joined College of the Ozarks in 1958, serving as Music Department faculty and Chairman of Music Department, later as Dean of Students, and finally as AVP for Development and Dean of Institutional Development before retiring after 35 years of service.
Founder and President of Abundant Life Ministries, serving as Pastor for nearly 20 years.
Attended Faith Life Church since its founding in Branson, serving on the Board and various other capacities.
Visitation from 5pm to 7pm on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, in Branson, Missouri. Private graveside services for the family will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.
