Gerald K. Goodman, age 88 of Dadeville, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, in his home. He was born February 18, 1929, in Mesa, AZ, to William Eugene and Julia M. (Daley) Goodman. He was united in marriage October 15, 1949, and to this union four children were born. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Stockton Ward. He served as a Bishop, Stake President, and Stake Patriarch.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years Shirley Marie; four brothers: Bill, Rex, Dale, and JD Goodman.
He is survived by four children: Julia Bateman and husband Calvin of Springfield, MO, Tim Goodman and wife Debbie of Everton, MO, Kathleen Bliss and husband Kirt, and Forrest Goodman and wife Stephanie all of Dadeville, MO; 27 grandchildren, and 76 great grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Stockton Ward. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday before the service from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery Dadeville, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
