Gladys Lynn Morehouse, 77, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. Born on June 14, 1948, in Willcox, Arizona, she was the beloved daughter of Helen Gaines.
Gladys was a woman of warmth, creativity, and quiet strength. She had a passion for finding hidden treasures at yard sales, always on the hunt for a good deal, especially anything that could add charm and beauty to her home. Her love for interior design was evident in every cozy corner she created.
She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially the adventures she shared with her husband of 22 years, David Morehouse. Together, they explored the beauty of America’s national parks, with Crater Lake in Oregon holding a special place in her heart.
Gladys is preceded in death by her mother, Helen, and her brother, Jasper “Jay” Fleetwood. She is survived by her devoted husband David; her daughter Erica Hall-Britain; granddaughter Ashley; and great-granddaughter Peyton Faber. She also leaves behind her stepchildren Dawn, Dina, David, Julie, and Krystal; her sister-in-law Verla; multiple nieces, and nephews, and many others who were touched by her kindness and grace.
Gladys will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and legacy of finding beauty in everyday moments will live on in all who knew her.
A visitation for Gladys will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
