Gloria “Gail” Gentry, age 65 of Springfield passed away on November 10,2021. She was born September 3, 1956 in Hollandale, MS., to mother Clara Mae Dunaway and father Thomas Edgar Dunaway. She married Hamp Gentry on March 3, 1972.
Gail had many passions throughout her life. She loved to sew and go out for a night of bowling. You could always find her cooking in the kitchen or spending time with her family. And of course, she had a deep love for her Dr.Peppers, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster.
Gail is survived by her sisters: Patsy Gentry of Nixa and Gladys McDaniels of Houston, MS., her husband: Henry “Hamp” Hamilton Gentry of Springfield, her children: James “Wes” Wesley Gentry of Sparta and Sandra “Sandie” Gail Wolf of Springfield, 7 grandchildren: Brandon Wolf, Jessica Wolf, Devin Gentry, Tim Wolf Jr, Gabriel “Gabe” Gentry, Marissa Gentry, and Clara Wolf, and 2 great grandchildren: James Lee Henry Wolf and Timber Willow Wolf.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Francis Howerton.
A memorial service for Gail will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
