Grady Burl Fletcher Sr., 84 of Springfield, Mo. met his Lord and Savior on September 12, 2010 peacefully in his home with his children by his side.
He was born to T.L. and Beulah Fletcher on May 12, 1926 in Walters, Okla. Grady Served in the US Army where he was stationed in Northern France during WWII.
On April 26, 1949 he married his wife of 60 years, Imo Jean Sewell. They moved to Missouri where he retired from Lee Way Motor Freight after 27 years. In his spare time he loved fishing and attending auto races. He managed Fellows Lake Marina, where he made many friends along the way.
Grady managed The Gospel Tones, and Gospel DJ’s, both quartets that his wife and daughter, Jan, founded. They spread the word of God as they traveled all over Missouri.
Preceding him in death were his wife, and eldest son, Grady Jr., along with five sisters.
Survivors include one sister, Berty Brackin, of Duncan Okla., his children, Frances Garrison and Doris Jones of Davis Okla., Carolyn and Ron Smith, Elkland Mo., Kevin and Barb Fletcher, Tonya and Larry Sherrell , Jan and Danny McElveen, all of Springfield Mo., 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 15th, from 7-9 P.M. in Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Services will be held Thursday at 11 A.M. Burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
