My heart aches at the news of 1LT Rhodes' passing. I find solace knowing he is no longer in pain. I served with 1LT Rhodes at the 1035th SMC, the 835th CSSB, and alongside him at the Homeland Response Force. At the 1035th, we'd sound off at every formation with "Missouri's Finest." 1LT Rhodes truly was Missouri's Finest. He was everything you look for in a Leader, in a Soldier, in a man. His passion for service and his love for his family was evident in the way he lived. 1LT Rhodes is truly a great man and it was a blessing to serve with him. I will miss you, my friend.

We cherish our time and friendship with Gregory, and praise God for his presence in our lives. Gregory was a kind soul and he shared his love of God with everyone he met. His warm smile and cheerful embrace is something we will equally remember and miss. The loss of his physical presence is truly profound for his community! May God keep and protect Kristi, their three beautiful children, and everyone who knew and loved Greg.

Dear Gregory, I am sad to admit I never got to meet you. I only know that someone who could raise a child like Declan has to be one of the kindest, funniest, encouraging and loving people in the world. Thank you for making one of my favorite people.

Greg was one of a kind. If we could all follow his example, the world would be a better place. We didn’t get to visit with him except reunions and funerals, unfortunately, but we recognized his love for family and friends. I wish we could have known him better. Our love to all of you. God bless each one of you.

Greg was one of the best co-counselors I ever worked with at Camp Lions Den! Once he “borrowed” a squeegee from a gas station so we could keep the staff showers cleaner. Greg worked so hard and was so conscientious about doing life different than where he came from. I admired him from afar for that! His family is a testimony to his spirit! Be blessed!
