Harold J. Henry passed away on July 22, 2023, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 89. He was born on May 20, 1934, in Garden City, Kansas to Robert Harold and Allie (Kimball) Henry.

Harold grew up on a farm and loved animals throughout his life.  He married Carol Stewart on October 6, 1973, and they would enjoy 46 wonderful years before her passing on October 8, 2019.  Harold enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and would also spend countless hours reading.  He loved family get together with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, enjoying good food and watching the children play.

Harold is survived by his children and their spouses, Kelly and Mike Light, Mike and Glenna Henry, Beth and William Summers, and Jesse Huy, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his cats Bo and Missy.

His wishes were to be cremated with a private celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations be made to Rescue One or Southwest Humane Society.
