Hazel Beryl (Cates) Belcher, 92, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on September 26, 2023. Hazel was born on November 24, 1930, in Arcola, Missouri to James and Lucille (Cooper) Cates. Hazel was one of twelve children in her family.
In 1948, Hazel married Kyle Robert Belcher in Arkansas. The two enjoyed 54 wonderful years together. Hazel worked in the home most of her life, gardening and taking care of her home. Hazel loved flowers and always had a huge flower garden.
Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Belcher, her parents, six sisters, and two brothers.
She is survived by three sisters: Stella Thompson, of Bolivar, MO, Lucy Cates and June Cates, of Yakima, Washington; she is also survived by special friends, Denny and Carolyn Austin, of Morrisville, MO.
A Graveside service for Hazel will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Lindley Prairie Cemetery near Bear Creek, Missouri. Visitors may pay respects at Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, MO, beginning on Thursday, September 28, 2023, after 12:00 p.m.
