Henry Ray Gibson, of Springfield, MO, went to be with his Lord and Savior April 11th, 2025. Henry was born March 26th, 1959, to Edgar “Ray” and Juanita Fay Gibson.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Juanita, as well as his two sisters Leona Chloe and Rosalee Fay.
Henry is survived by his two daughters Amy (Tobias) Johnson and Madison (Logan) Everett; his daughter’s mother Karen Gibson; four grandchildren, Brooke, Hunter, LeeRoy, and Joseph Johnson; his wife Jana Gibson; two step sons, Aaron and Zach; and two sisters, Vickie and Thelma.
Henry graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1977, back when girls, baseball, and cars were his life. He joined the Springfield Police Department in 1982 where he was in Patrol and was also an Accident Reconstruction Investigator, which he was most proud of doing. He retired from the Police Department in 2004. He loved his classic cars and motorcycles, especially his Crown Vics, Edsels, Chevelles, and his Gold Wing motorcycles.
Henry was a loving Father, Grandfather, Husband, and Friend. Henry fought a very hard battle. He will forever be his daughter’s Henryetta Renae.
A Celebration of Henry’s Life will be held Monday, April 21, 2025, 6:00 PM, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
