Henry “Hank” Fisher II
Henry “Hank” Woodson Fisher II was born on September 27, 1961 in Memphis, TN. He was the son of Henry Woodson Fisher I and Sarah Frances Fisher. On Wednesday, June 1 at 11:08AM at the age of 60 in Springfield MO, pancreatic cancer took its last hold onto him. Hank is survived by his three brothers Larry Tackett, Gary Tackett, Frank Fisher, his sister Brenda Abel, and his son Chase Fisher. However, countless others mourn his passing.
Hank was raised in West Memphis, AR where he graduated high school. He attended Arkansas State University, a time from which he loved to share so many great stories of “his early twenties.”
Hank worked in the grocery business for Pyramid Food Brokers in the Mid South area. He had a near three decade long career as a Sales Representative for H.C Brill and was a “certified sweet talker” selling bakery products.
Hank was an outdoorsman living in Branson, MO. In his free time he loved to go trout fishing, hit the golf course, and cheer on the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a grill master who competed with his BBQ team, “The Nasty Boys.” Hank even created his own dry rub and was always trying new dishes. Many say he could work magic on the grill, competing in big contests such as Esperanza Bonanza in Marion, AR and the world’s largest BBQ competition: American Royal BBQ in Kansas City, MO.
Hank was the life of the party. He had a smile that made everyone around him want to smile too and was always down for a laugh. Hank was kind to everyone he met and no one was a stranger. For many, he was the center of their happiness. Hank will be forever loved and deeply missed.
His celebration of life will be on Saturday June 11th, at Greenlawn Funeral home in Branson, MO from 1:00 – 3:00PM.
