Herbert Wesley Gourley passed away April 1, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri.
Herbert was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri on December 16, 1934. He spent most of his life in the Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri area.
After service in Germany, Herb was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He enjoyed a career in the auto industry, and as an instructor with the Dale Carnegie Institute.
Herb was preceded in death by his wives, Hedy and Barbara Gourley; his parents, mother Jewel Dilley (Charles), and his father Ellis Gourley (Ruby). Along with 4 step-brothers and their families; he is survived by his partner Shirley Kilpatric, brother, Bob Gourley (Marlese), their children and grandchildren, son David Gourley, (Melissa), (Mac, Will, Marly), daughter, Anne DeLano (Don), and her son Zachary Payne.
Herb will be missed, but he can now join his old Mountain Grove Panther football teammates that have been waiting for him.
