| Ilah Ann “Annie” Peck, 70, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026 among family at Creekside at Elfindale after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 8, 1955, in Rogers, Arkansas, Annie was the beloved daughter of Robert Bone and Lowita Mitchell and the granddaughter of Lowell and Juanita Shawver all of Pineville, Missouri. Annie graduated from Neosho High School with the Class of 1974 and went on to earn her degree in Accounting from Missouri State University, and later obtaining an MBA from Drury University. Her education reflected her dedication and passion for community service. She devoted more than 30 years to the City of Springfield, serving as the Community Development Loan Officer until her retirement in 2013 – a career marked by professionalism, warmth and a sincere commitment to improving the lives of others. Those who knew Annie will remember her for her remarkable ability to cultivate friendships that lasted a lifetime. Whether among her family, her school and college classmates, or her City of Springfield colleagues, Annie’s grace and good humor brought people together. Her caring nature and loyalty left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. A true sports enthusiast, Annie was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. Game days were among her happiest moments, often shared with friends and loved ones who appreciated her infectious enthusiasm and steadfast support for her teams.
Annie was preceded in death by her dear husband of 38 years, David K. Peck in February 2023, and by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her brother Gregory Bone and wife Billye of Bentonville, AR, her aunt Elizabeth Lett of Pineville, MO and aunt Nancy Henderson of Rogers, AR, brother-in-law Gary Peck and wife Cindy of Seal Beach, CA, brothers and sisters by marriage Ron Mitchell and wife Becky of Joplin, MO, Jay Breslau of Fayetteville, AR, Kelly Breslau of Rogers, AR, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her friends and loved ones whose lives she touched with warmth, generosity, and joy. The family would like to thank Tammy Coleman, LPN, Bethany Myers, PN along with the entire staff of Creekside Assisted Living at Elfindale for their kindness and loving care of Annie. Special thanks to Meagan McMaster at Seasons Hospice for her gentle attention to Annie in her final days.
