Arva Ilene Jones, 89, of Springfield, MO passed away on December 23, 2022, in Springfield, MO.  She was born on June 5, 1933, to Clark and Jessie Pierson in Hill City, KS.  She graduated from Salina High School and attended Brown Mackie College before marrying Kenneth W. Jones on August 3, 1952, in Salina, KS.  Together they had 4 children Doug, Pam, Steve and Mark.  Ilene spent many years working secretarial jobs as well as being a homemaker raising and caring for her family.  Ilene was a devout member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church and spent many years of service to her church, especially the Door-to-Door ministry.  Ilene was also known for her love of the piano as well as performing tasks related to bookkeeping and finance.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents Clark and Jessie Pierson, husband Kenneth W. Jones and sister Lavone Reeder.

Ilene is survived by her children Doug Jones, Pam Thompson, Steve Jones and wife Cozy, Mark and wife Julie Jones; 8 grandchildren, Micah Jones, Morgan Jones, Zach Thompson, Amanda Presley, Curtis Jones, Lindsey Wallace, Mindy Summers, and Marshall Jones. Ilene also had 20 great grandchildren Emma Biehler, Kylee Bowman, Olivia Jones, Austin Thompson, Madison Harris, Nicolas Presley, Courtney Presley, Nathaniel Presley, Lane Presley, Jackson Jones, Annabeth Jones, Willa Rose Jones and Gavin Wallace, Cael Wallace, Ava Wallace, Eden Summers, Landen Summers, Lydia Summers and Clara Summers.
