Irene Panetta, age 81, of Springfield, Mo, departed this life on June 2, 2011 in her home. She was born February 4, 1930 in San Antonio, Tx, to Juan and Emelia Hernandez.
She was a homemaker and employed in the women and children’s apparel industry as a seamstress. Irene was a retired member of the International Ladies Garment Worker’s Union.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Rinaldo Panetta; two sons, Victor Panetta and wife Sandy, Springfield, and Michael Panetta and wife Suzi, Lenexa, Ks; two grandsons, Nikolas Panetta and Antonio Panetta; two sisters, Angie Rojas, El Paso, Tx, and Enrique Hernandez, San Antonio, Tx; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 3 p.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Music will be provided by Andrew Hernandez.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
