Irma Helen Raines Mapes was born November 9, 1911 and reached her heavenly home May 24, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Minnie Raines; her husband, Lloyd; two sisters; and two brothers.
Irma is survived by her daughters, Glenda Maiden (Tom), Mary Taylor (Jim); granddaughter, Jaime Brunner (Ben); and grandsons Bryan Maiden, Eric Taylor, and Ryan Taylor; great grandson, Elijah Brunner; sisters in law, Thelma Flake, and Jackie Raines reside in Springfield.
Irma lived most her life in Christian and Greene counties. She was a long time member of National Heights Baptist Church, and a former member of the Springfield Collectors Club. Her hobbies included spending time with her family, collecting antiques, traveling, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and baking delicious pies.
Dr. Vaughn Weatherford will conduct her funeral service Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Visitation is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
