Jack Eugene Garrison, a beloved member of the Springfield community, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023, at the age of 77. He was born on October 26, 1945, in Clovis, Texas, to Bert and Evelyn Garrison. Jack’s warm smile, kind heart, and contagious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jack pursued his education and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri, showcasing his commitment to lifelong learning. His adventurous spirit led him to serve in the Air Force, where he made significant contributions to our nation. After leaving the military, Jack focused on his career, first in Agriculture sales, and later becoming a successful business man, owning several business.
Throughout his life, Jack held many roles, but his most cherished title was that of a loving father. He was a devoted father to his three children, Lyman Garrison, Jennifer Garrison, and Carl Garrison; seven granddaughters and one grandson; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Jack’s guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support shaped their lives and left a lasting impact on their hearts. He will be forever remembered for his ability to make each of them feel special and loved.
In the Springfield community, Jack was known as a dedicated neighbor and friend. He generously offered a helping hand to those in need and brought a sense of camaraderie wherever he went. Jack’s genuine nature and genuine concern for others will continue to inspire acts of kindness throughout the community.
Jack’ s memory will forever be cherished by his son Lyman, daughter Jennifer, and son Carl. Their lives have been forever enriched by their father’s unwavering love and support. He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
The family invites you to a celebration of Jack’s life, doing one of his favorite things, singing Karaoke, at Prima’s Mexican Kitchen on South Glenstone with a time to gather and share stories from 3-5 pm, with Karaoke starting a 6pm, on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
