Jack Leon Ford, 74, of Springfield, Missouri, passed from this life July 15, 2025. He was born June 30, 1951, in Aurora, Missouri, to Frank and Anna Ford.
Known by many as “Action Jackson”, Jack joined the U.S. Army in 1969 and proudly served his country while stationed in Germany and Vietnam. Always a skilled driver, he was most notable for his years behind the wheel driving anything that rolled.
His youthful “hustler” mentality never left him, he was always up for a challenge. Whether it was cards, billiards, darts or dice games; he was always full of competitive spirit. His carpentry & woodworking certainly sparked his creative side as well, with some projects still in use over 30 years later, thanks to his use of “that ‘ol Jack magic”.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gary Jones, and Michael Ford; and sister, Kimberly Ann Dean.
Jack is survived by his son, Rick Ford; granddaughter, Taylor Ford; great-grandson, William; best friend, Pamala Poston; and two sisters, Tammy (Charles) Daughtrey and Billie Dean Flippo; extended family and friends.
