Jackie Lee (Edwards) Pfeifer passed away November 15, 2024.
Jackie was born August 21, 1943, to Earl and Marjorie (Beecher) Edwards and was the second eldest of four children. While the family did spend some time in other states, Jackie spent most of her life in Springfield, Missouri. It was here that she met her husband, Bill. They were married in 1967 and had 28 years together before his passing.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, a beloved brother and sister, an infant son, Bradley Allen, and her husband, Bill. Jackie firmly believed she would be reunited with Bill and Bradley in heaven some day and it brings us great peace to know they are together.
Jackie is survived by her children: Terri Williams, Bryan Pfeifer, Bill Pfeifer (and Joy), James Pfeifer, and Leilani Hagan (and Don). Jackie also had fourteen grandchildren: Timothy, Robert (and Khrissy), Alex, Gizmo (and Sarah), Nicky, Dani, Michael (and Jenna), Tyler, Noah, Sara (and Michael), Garrett (and Megan), Amanda, Freddie, and Truman (and Erin) as well as ten great grandchildren.
Jackie is also survived by many, many friends. She never met a stranger and strived to make a friend of everyone she met – especially if they were “difficult” – she would ask questions and continue to be loving until they caved! Jackie was silly, always quick with a witty comment, and sassy to the core. She was always willing to put on a costume or perform in a skit for her TOPS group and she loved those ladies and gentlemen dearly. Jackie’s closest friends, Toni and Judy, knew her to always be ready for fun and they had many escapades together over the years. Jackie will be missed by all who met her.
Knowing our mother as we do, in lieu of flowers to the funeral home, she would insist you purchase a bouquet for your table at home to enjoy as she often did.
A visitation will be held at Greenlawn East in Springfield on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 9am-11am. There will be a private interment at Brookline Cemetery.
