Jalen David Descamps, age 24, of Pleasant Hope, Missouri passed away suddenly Friday, October 28, 2022. Jalen was born February 1, 1998, in Springfield, Missouri, to Jason and Jennifer (Powers) Descamps. Jalen graduated from Hillcrest High School and Ozarks Technical College as a certified welder in 2016 and was employed at Fitness ER.
Known for his superb welding and mechanical abilities; Jalen enjoyed spending his free time to help others. Whether it was building decks, mowing yards, cleaning gutters, fixing cars, or building racecar frames, Jalen used his unique skills to serve. When he was not building and creating, he was spending time with his girlfriend, Jasmine Sparks, and his friends and family.
Jalen is survived by his parents; Jason Descamps (Leah), Jennifer Descamps (David); two siblings; Elise Rene´ Descamps and Thales John Michael Descamps; grandparents, Michael Descamps (Brenda), Gayla VanHise (Don), John Kroo (Heather), and Jen Kroo; great-grandparents, John and Pat Tettleton, three aunts; Dianne Jackson, Ashley Love, and Hannah White; and one uncle, Mike Powers along with a host of cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Joe and Lois Powers; great-grandparents, Rene´ and Waverly Descamps; his aunt, Nina Gerke; and uncle, Marty Powers.
Visitation is 2:00 pm to 4:00, Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Funeral services are 1 pm, Monday, November 7, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Bruce Hayes officiating.
