James Harold Johnson, was born February 9th, 1974, in Boulder, Colorado. He grew up and lived in Longmont, Colorado. Graduating from Niwot High School in 1993, and earning his Associates Degree from Northeastern Junior College in Mechanics, in 1995. On September 4th, 1999, Jim married his high school sweetheart, Stephanie Heald. The two would go on to have two beautiful children. Megan Johnson, daughter, 22 years old, and Tristen Johnson, son, 20 years old. Jim spent 12 years working for the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department in their fleet services, before going into business for himself when he purchased Branson Pennzoil, in Branson, Missouri in 2014. It was at this time, that the family relocated to Blue Eye, Missouri.
Jim ensured that Branson Pennzoil was a prominent sponsor and supporter of the Blue Eye schools and after-school sports. A hard-working, and honest business owner, Jim expanded his business from a medium-size venture, into the region’s largest Pennzoil distributor. Jim entered semi-retirement when he sold his business in 2022. Jim Johnson was a kind, generous, and honest individual who believed that if you said you would do something, then you did it. He devoted his life to being the best husband, father, son, brother, and friend that anyone could ask for; but he didn’t have to strive hard, because it just came naturally.
Jim passed away suddenly, in his home on September 3rd, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife Stephanie, and two children Megan and Tristen, and his first expected grandchild. His father Lee Johnson, sister Tracy Post, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson. Burial will follow in the Blue Eye Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
