James Kenneth Layne, age 81, of Ocala, FL, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at Tuscany Hospice House in Summerfield, FL after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his wife, of fifty-one years, Margaret Bernice Layne; his parents, one sister; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Layne of Ocala, FL; four daughters, Marcia Clines of Nixa, Diana Coleman of Springfield, Debbie Hardwick of Zephyrhills, FL, and Sandra Hines of Springfield; one step-daughter Lisa Diane Crouch of Independence MO; one brother Lloyd Layne of Springfield; one sister Lucille Hillen of Springfield; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 29, 2012, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO with Pastor Rick Posey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Hospice . Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
