James “Jim” Russell Ellis, of Springfield, Missouri, was born to Lewis Ellis and Anna Ellis on March 6, 1954, at Burge Hospital. He  passed away at the age of 70 years, on December 2, 2024, at Cox Medical Center South. James  graduated from Fair Grove High School, a member of the Class of 1972. James proudly served in the United States Air Force before his discharge. He enjoyed collecting stamps and rare coins as well as researching genealogy.

James was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Ellis; mother, Anna Ellis; two sisters, Ruth Anna Ellis and Carol Sue Ellis. James is survived by his brother, John Ellis, two sisters Kathy Keithley and her husband, Mike, and Norma Mason.  He is well-remembered by many friends and relatives.

Jim’s wishes were to be cremated. He will be inurned with a private family service at a later date. No other services are planned.
