In our tradition, Stu would be called a real mensch. For the past 30+ years he has been part of our good friendship, a steward of his love for Penny, and had inextricably become someone I will always miss. When introducing him to my daughter a couple of years ago I told her "he's a good guy" as many have said about him; only now do I realize what an understatement that was. With deep sorrow there is a realization of how fortunate I am to have known Stu.

I also taught marketing in Missouri Southern with Stu. Never have I met a more kind and gregarious and humble person. He will be sorely missed.

I worked with Stu at MSSU. He was always good to me a took interest in my kids. They would stop by his office and visit with him when I took them to work with me. He was pleased when my daughter decided to attend Missouri S&T (Rolla) to study engineering and run XC and Track. He and I would talk sports. I will miss him. Alex Vernon

In more areas than just softball, Stu was a gentleman and positive force. Someone I could always trust as good input to the program. He was involved in many other things and was a real friend to me. He had lots of GOOD constructive ideas. God give you peace FAMILY. Stu was one of the REALLY, REALLY good guys!

Penny and family, I'm incredibly sorry and sad to hear about the passing of Stu. He made such an impact on my life in college and even afterwards. I am so blessed to have called him a professor, advisor, and later a friend. He was always very encouraging and supporting. He was truly a bright spot and I know he will be missed by all.

So very sorry to hear this sad news???? I only knew of Stu, from the years of playing softball with his brother John, as our Coach. That entire Dunlop family were well-known in the sports community as great guys! Stu will be missed by so many people in Education, as well. May God hold up his family, especially tight, during this difficult time, and in the days ahead. Stu was sure a class act!❤️
