James (Jim) Wayne Yarbrough II passed away Wednesday morning, September 20, 2023, in Springfield, Mo. He was born October 18, 1953, in Springfield, to James and Helen Yarbrough. He was a graduate of Parkview High School. Jim was an avid mechanic and went on to own his own business, Advanced Transmission Services in Monett, Mo. He was a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shriners for many years and also loved his boats and spent a lot of his free time down on Table Rock Lake.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jamie & Helen, and sister, Libby Peck. Survivors include his daughter, Jennie (Jon) Peralta of Los Angeles, Ca., son, Allen Yarbrough of Granby, Co.; two nephews, Jeff (Melissa) Powelson of Rosendale, Mo., Mike (Kelli) Powelson of Edmond, Ok., and a niece, Jill Harless of Joplin, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Audrey Peralta and a grandson due in October 2023.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date next spring in Springfield, Mo.
