Jamie Alan Blankenship, 58, passed away on January 30, 2023, at his home in Fair Play, Missouri. Jamie was born on April 30, 1964, to Jesse Blankenship and Patty (Davis) Blankenship. He was saved and baptized Salisbury Hills Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri. Jamie was a 1982 graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri. Jamie and his brother, Richard, became custom painters, working for the family business. Jamie married Tracey Godat in 1991, and to this union one son was born, Joshua Blankenship.
Jamie loved watching the Chiefs. He enjoyed his animals and spending time in nature hunting and fishing. Jamie not only painted, but also worked on cars. He always had classic rock playing in the background. Jamie always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Jamie is preceded in death by his grandparents: Hazel Blankenship and Clyde Davis; aunt, Sue Thomas; uncles, Kenny Blankenship and Donnie Jacobs; stepfather, Darrell Dietz, stepsister, Lisa Dietz and nephew, Timothy Montoya.
He is survived by his son, Joshua Blankenship; mother, Patty Dietz; father, Jesse H. Blankenship; grandma, Lula (Butler) Davis; brother, Richard Montoya; niece, Ashley Montoya; great nieces and nephews: Andrew, Aviana, Alidia, Amelia, Adelyn, and Antonio; cousins, Tracey Miles and Tammy Blankenship, and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
