With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Ann Neal, a beloved caregiver in the community, who peacefully transitioned on May 23, 2024, in Bolivar, Missouri. Jane was born on January 27, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Gene and Beulah Burnum.
She dedicated her life to providing compassionate care to the elderly, leaving a mark of kindness and warmth in the hearts of all those she cared for. Jane held a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Southwest Missouri State University and excelled in all she did, showcasing not only her professional abilities but also her profound empathy and caring nature.
Jane will be dearly missed by her surviving relatives, including: her son David Martin; daughter-in-law Kathy Martin; grandchildren: Meghan Martin, Ryhan Martin, Michael Fonville, Chance Fonville, and Tristin Martin, as well as her brother Jack Burnum, and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred “Duck” Neal; two of her children: Paul Martin and Jessica Piper, and her brother, Pat Burnum.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Pitts Chapel Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri, at a later date.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Homes.
