She was happily raised in Springfield, MO and graduated from Parkview High School in 1973. Jean was married to Stephen Garrigan from 1977 to 1985. The couple were blessed with 1 child, Kate. Jean was a professional teacher with Springfield Public Schools for 28 years. Over the course of her career Jean joyfully advocated and educated the children of Springfield, MO. Nothing however, brought her more fulfillment than spending time with her family. Jean will be remembered as a kind and generous soul, full of love and laughter. She was often described by others as the most comforting person one could meet. Jean leaves behind a legacy of excellence in education, love of family, and true faith in the Lord. Jean will be deeply missed by her family, but we are so happy that she gets to join our heavenly family and the Maker she so dearly loved.
