Gerald (Jerry) E. Tindle, 86, of Fair Play, Missouri, passed away April 14, 2012, at his home in Fair Play. He was born, March 25, 1926, in Bolivar, Missouri.
Jerry was the eldest son of Carl and Opal (Littlejohn) Tindle.
Jerry served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He returned to the dairy farm of Olon Erwin in Bolivar where he met and married Mary Ann Curl. Jerry farmed his whole life and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later he enjoyed teaching his grandchildren to hunt and fish.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Ann and his brother Jim.
Jerry is survived by three sisters: Corrine Allen and husband Gene, Virginia Cantrell, Mary Sue Shelton and sister-in-law Patricia Tindle. Jerry leaves four sons; Jerry (Bud) Lee and wife Bobbie, William (Bill) Erwin and wife Rhonda, Kenneth Eugene and Carl David and wife Connie, three daughters; Martha Ann and Randy, Mary Elizabeth Tindle and Rebecca Sue and husband Randy Haugse. He is also survived by,15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 12:30 to 1:30, April 20, 2012 at Pitts Chapel, Bolivar Mo. followed by graveside sevice at Barren Creek Cemetery, Bolivar, Missouri, with Pastor Matt Underwood officiating.
