Jerry Lee Scott, age 62, of Springfield, Missouri, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Jerry was born on February 19, 1961, to Milton and Davie Scott in Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, then went on to enlist in the United States Navy.  Jerry loved the St. Louis Cardinals and many other sports.  All who knew him would label him as a helper.  He loved spending time with his family and looking after his mother, Davie.  In recent months he enjoyed working for O’Reilly as a driver.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father; brother, Terry Scott, Sr.; Aunt Beatrice Felts and Aunt Jewlene Simpson.

He is survived by his mother, Davie Scott; his sister, Jackie Pottle and her husband, Sean, and their children: Bella, Brooklyn, Penelope and Ally; his sister-in-law, Merlita Scott; nephew, Terry Scott Jr. and his wife, Janelle, and their children: Lyric and Remedy; his niece, Jessica McMullin and her husband, Chris, and their children, Justice, Jayson, Sophia, and Christian; his Uncle Bill Felts and his family; and other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a funeral service held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home, North.  Burial with full military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
